Castor & District Agricultural Society

Castor & District Ag Society owns and operates the rodeo grounds and Castor Community hall. A rodeo is held each year in June and they also put on a pig roast as part of the annual fair. An annual fair is held for 4 days in August with parade, car show, petting zoo, fair exhibits, free pancake breakfast, children bouncy house, face painting, husband calling contest as well as working the casino for four days. The Farmer’s market holds markets the first Thursday of the month from April to December serving lunch to the community and vendors. Winterfest is held in February with chili cook off, concession, sleigh rides, and ice sculptors. Our community hall is busy with weddings, family reunions, funerals, fund raising events, rummage sales, pickle ball, Farmer’s markets and many meetings for various groups. All in all our Ag Society is very busy with few volunteers.
