Black Crow Funk

Black Crow Funk is the music project of Jody Funk, an emerging Oji-Cree Métis Canadian singer-songwriter and Alberta gal. Blending personal history with powerful storytelling, her voice carries Brandi Carlile’s fire and Lucinda Williams’ grit — weaving emotion and cultural stories of past and present through a haunting and thought provoking country folk lens. Her songs bridge past and present, where music is medicine and every lyric casts a spell to heal, connect, and awaken.

Her debut singles, Wandering River, Moon Water and Elk Teeth Earrings have aired on CKUA, CJSW, CJWE, and CFWE, with her first album set to release in early 2026.
