After an incredible 2026 Convention that brought together agricultural societies, industry leaders, entertainers, and community champions from across Alberta, we are grateful for the energy, collaboration, and leadership demonstrated throughout the event. The 79th Annual AAAS Convention built on the strong momentum of previous years with engaging speakers, expanded tradeshow participation, dynamic entertainment, and meaningful opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate the work of our agricultural societies.
Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this year’s Convention a success. We look forward to continuing the conversations and carrying this momentum into the year ahead.

Farmers Market Training at the 2026 Convention!
We are once again offering in-person Farmers Market Training at this year’s convention. This session is designed for managers, boards, and market leaders who want practical guidance on operations, marketing, vendor support, and building strong, sustainable markets.
Training takes place on Friday February 6, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at the River Cree Resort & Hotel (300 East Lapotac Blvd. Enoch, Alberta).
Over 500 people from all over Alberta attend our convention and tradeshow.
The Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies (AAAS) Annual Convention is a premier event in Alberta's agricultural calendar, bringing together Community members, and industry experts for an exchange of knowledge and ideas. Through workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities, attendees engage in discussions on a wide array of topics crucial to the agricultural sector, including best practices, technological innovations, sustainability, rural development, and community engagement. The convention also serves as a platform for recognizing outstanding contributions to agriculture, celebrating excellence and dedication within the industry.
