PROVINCIAL GRANTS

• Agricultural Society Grant Program – Alberta Agriculture and Forestry

• Active Communities Initiative – 

  • The Active Communities Initiative (ACI) aims to fund capital projects that generate sport and recreation opportunities for Albertans. The initiative addresses local and provincial sport and recreation infrastructure pressures by supporting eligible organizations to renew, expand, and/or build small to medium sized public-use community sport and recreation facilities.

• Alberta  Crime Prevention Grant

  The Alberta Crime Prevention (ACP) grant funds projects or programs for up to 2 years. The project or program must focus on direct delivery of services or supports for crime prevention or community safety and well being. Programs or initiatives keeping youth out of gangs or helping youth get out of gangs are included. Grants provide funding from $25,000 to $150,000 per year (2022-23 and 2023-24).

• Agricultural Societies Infrastructure Revitalization Program
  • Alberta’s government is launching the Agricultural Societies Infrastructure Revitalization Program, a new capital grant that allocates $2.5 million annually to help ag societies update existing facilities.

• Crowdfunding Alberta platform
  • A new crowdfunding platform will help non-profits raise funds to support programs, services and causes that enhance quality of life and support arts organizations.

  • The program offers incentives to eligible Alberta businesses and non-profits to choose commercially available high-efficiency products and onsite energy generation
    technologies that meet their needs.
  •  Incentives of up to $250,000 are available per project

  • Minimum project incentive amount of $500
• Every Kid Can Play Program

• John Ware Youth Empowerment Program
  • This pilot program, designed by the Global Village Center in Brooks, honors the legacy of John Ware – a black rancher who settled in Brooks and was one of the first ranchers in Alberta – by helping youth in rural Alberta develop life and career skills.
