Annual AAAS Convention


Get ready for the 79th Annual Agricultural Societies of Alberta Convention!

Friday, February 6th at 8:30am - Sunday, February 8th at 12:00pm

After an incredible 2025 Convention that brought together agricultural societies, industry leaders, and community champions from across Alberta, our sights are now set on the year ahead. The 2026 AAAS Convention promises to build on that momentum with fresh initiatives, engaging speakers, and even more opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate the work of our Ag Societies. Stay tuned as we roll out detailsโ€”2026 is shaping up to be another unforgettable year!

Are you between 18-40 years old?

AFSC is pleased to offer a special discount program for AAAS Ag Societies delegates that meet the age eligibility requirements of AFSCโ€™s Next Generation Loan (under the age of 40 at the time of application). The membership will be offered at a reduced rate of $100 per registration. (Rebates to the Ag Society will come after the Conferenceย to a maximum of 2 rebates per Ag Society).

Upon registration application, those that identify as a โ€œNext Gen Ag Leaderโ€ (click the age 18-30 or 31-40 box on the registration page will receive the AFSC Special Discount (to a maximum of 60 registrants).ย ย Proof of age will be required. There will be a special event on Thursday evening for the first 60 registrants under the age of 40.

Farmers Market Training at the 2026 Convention!

We are once again offering in-person Farmers Market Training at this yearโ€™s convention. This session is designed for managers, boards, and market leaders who want practical guidance on operations, marketing, vendor support, and building strong, sustainable markets.

Training takes place on Friday February 6, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at the River Cree Resort & Hotel (300 East Lapotac Blvd. Enoch, Alberta).

The Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies (AAAS) Annual Convention is a premier event in Alberta's agricultural calendar, bringing together Community members, and industry experts for an exchange of knowledge and ideas. Through workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities, attendees engage in discussions on a wide array of topics crucial to the agricultural sector, including best practices, technological innovations, sustainability, rural development, and community engagement.  The convention also serves as a platform for recognizing outstanding contributions to agriculture, celebrating excellence and dedication within the industry.
