Hussar & District Agricultural Society

The Hussar Ag Society looks after the operation of our local arena for our active skating club, local and neighboring hockey and ringette teams and outside community hockey associations. We are proud to sponsor the local 4H beef club and provide them use of the arena to host their annual show and sale every year. During our town Summerdaze weekend in June the arena also plays host to the amazing Lions Pancake Breakfast where everyone gathers before the parade to kick start the festivities. We also hold 3 other fundraising events throughout the year including a Live Auction and Supper, Community entertainment night, and a Golf Tournament to allow us to keep fees reasonable for local teams who use our arena. The Arena is the hub of our community and you’ll find many locals taking in all the games throughout the season.

-full ringette lines AND shot clocks provided
-There is NOT a gas station in town, closet ones are Strathmore, Drumheller and Bassano, all half an hour away.
-There are 3 bank machines in town. One at the bar, one at grocery store across the street from the arena and one in the bank across the street from the arena.
– The arena has a privately run kitchen with great food. Open every day of the week mid October to mid March.
-the curling rink is attached to the arena
