Residents of the Hamlet of DeBolt in north-western Alberta’s Peace Country now have access to a new community centre. The DeBolt and District Agricultural Society created the community centre by modifying and expanding their existing curling rink. With amenities that include a fitness centre, indoor playground, kitchen, meeting rooms and offices, the new facility has increased the recreational and social opportunities available to the people of DeBolt and its surrounding communities. The Dewberry Agricultural Society is a non-profit Alberta Registered Society formed in 1972 and became a Registered Charity in 1979. We are the volunteer organization that helps bring the “spirit of country” to town and have become the major social event organizers in our area. The Eckville Ag Society operates as an umbrella board formed from the collaboration of Eckville’s arena, curling club, community centre and Friendship Centre.
